A 3* hotel that exceeded my expectations. Well placed next to the SMN railway station, and literally next to the SMN bus station for Siena and other Tuscan town. The hotel is also not that far from the Florence historic center. There is also a supermarket very close by. I stayed in a single room, no 315, for 2 nights. Although a single, it was not very small, as so often in Italy. The bed was also not too narrow for a large person like me, and was comfortable. Bathroom was large, with a bathtub. Towels were soft and fluffy, of good quality. Cleanliness was very good, and maintained so throughout my stay. The wardrobe was large enough, and the safe & minibar were useful. Overall, the hotel is not a new one, with rather old furniture that shows its age, but I like old-fashioned hotels so it was fine for me. Breakfast was very good, and the service at breakfast was excellent, which is so rare nowadays, even in high star hotels - kudos to the tall Italian guy running the breakfast room from the bar. Also of great help was the young lady from the reception, always helping efficiently, kindly, with a smile.

Very good and enjoyable experience. Staff was very helpful. The room size was good, but it had an old decor (I guess it could be just personal preference). The bathroom was spacious but had some stains on the floor and some mold in the shower. Otherwise, it was relatively clean. There were many international TV channels, and the wifi was good. Our room was facing the street with busses running along the street, but it was very quiet inside maybe because the room had double windows. Breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold food with plenty of varieties of pastries. The hotel even had a gym and spa, but we didn't use them as Florence had plenty of things to do, which kept us very busy. Also, I really liked the location, which was not in the main busy area but still only 5 minutes walk from SMN train station, and most attractions were within 20 minutes walk. It's less than 10 minutes walk to the IL Mercato Centrale where you could find different kinds of local food. There were also many restaurants and 2 supermarkets close to the hotel.

We had a fantastic experience. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. The staff were all kind and helpful, and the late checkout option was greatly appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the room was soundproof, which made for a peaceful night's sleep. The location of the hotel was amazing - it was close to many attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Although I stay in Flornce often and for a week or more on each trip, I had not stayed here before. The location is convenient, close to the train station and the Mail Box etc office on the street that ships my bag ahead for me and where I can store luggage for the weeks I travel to other cities. The room is large, the bathroom updated and each room had individual heat controls, something I do not find in other locations.

A very easy walk from Florence main, central station to the hotel 3 or 4 mins walk. Hotel had discrete frontage and interior was well appointed and laid out. Reception staff spoke very good English (thankfully) and were welcoming and helpful during my stay. Enjoyed Italian breakfast each morning, fresh and delicious. Room very comfortable and Excellent Wi-Fi meant I could sneak an hour or two of work in when it suited.
